La Leona

Deep in the jungle at the foot of Rincón de la Vieja, a hidden waterfall crashes down inside a volcanic cave — and the only way in is by swimming for it. That's La Leona.

We'll pick you up right from your hotel or Airbnb, wherever you're staying, and take you out for a private hike along the Río Blanco. It's about 3 hours round trip, through forest full of wild monkeys, birds, and beautiful tropical plants, alongside a river that glows blue and turquoise in the sunlight — a natural trick of the light you have to see for yourself. The trail ends with a swim across the river into a hidden canyon, right up to the falls.

Afterward, we'll grab lunch together — dessert and coffee included — then unwind at the spa with a sauna, mud bath, and natural hot springs to relax those tired legs.
